Although the science fantasy romance, Orbs of Trenihgea releases September 1, 2017, I’ve been hard at work editing my next epic fantasy trilogy (The Shifter: Blood of Oisin) and writing a new epic fantasy Kurintor Nyusi with Tom Fallwell.
When Tom first asked me about collaborating, I said no. That response had nothing to do with him, but my past experiences. However, I’m pleased that he didn’t relent and we started work on this new diverse epic fantasy. In fact, I’d written over 20k within the first week.
The premise of Kurintor Nyusi has grown dramatically since our initial conversation. With complex characters, new species, intriguing deities, and a dense, multi-layered plot, there’s something to satiate even the most finicky fantasy lovers palate. And with this new world, comes some fantastical characters. For the next few weeks, I’ll introduce you to them and their world.
Meet Aljoša Hajjar.
Usually, when I develop characters, I know exactly how they appear. It’s seldom that I encounter someone who encompasses that image so completely. However, I met a gentleman at a convention this year who did just that. I’m extremely appreciative to Wen and his wonderful family for allowing me to use him as a model for Aljoša.
Kurintor Nyusi has a tentative release date of December 2017. You can check the Desu Beast Blog, Facebook, and soon the Kurintor Facebook page for updates.
